I mention this every time I talk about PL, but I did digital last year. I didn't care for the ziblio set-up and decided to go the traditional route for 2012 before it was announced that shutterfly would be handling the online digital books. Having had to wait so long for the core kit and still waiting for the pps, I decided to go back to digital for 2012. Shutterfly is much nicer to work with than ziblio and I just love that it's not taking up as much space on my shelves. I'm going to use the pps and the other items I bought for keeping little trinkets and such (things we pick up on our travels, stuff my little one draws) and I can make each little segment (3x4, 4x6, or 6x6) a little scrapbook page. This just works so much better for me.

I feel really good about this change. Earlier this week I was thinking that I was going to use the traditional method to do a 1 or 2 page monthly spread. Then, I looked at my ziblio book and realized that I like all the details of doing it daily/monthly. Then I watched the video on BH's blog and that inspired me to use the PPs I have ordered for other things in my life that I don't want to scrapbook on a whole page, but don't want to give up.

Have you made any changes to your approach since you started?

I am not using the core kit as much as I thought I would. I am using more print and cut tags from the cameo, printable journal cards, and I'm getting more "scrappy" with it than I thought I would. I went and stamped out all the week title cards and now I'm not even really using them.

I am doing a lot more digital stuff than I imagined. Making journal cards and typing my journalling on them and printing them ou, making little layouts for the pockets. Sometimes I feel like working on my album, but I don't feel like getting out all my stuff. My album is going to be quite a mix, and much less cohesive than I thought.

Yup, started thinking I would use ALL the Cobalt kit stuff, and now just using bits of it and more my stash. My pages are definitely not color-themed or cohesive, but I love them!
